After purchasing a Shah Sidekick in Aeb-l on the secondary market and absolutely putting it to work for a month straight with true EDC tasks as a plumber, heavy fire prep on the daily and desssing out 2 pigs and a Whitetail I couldn't believe how well it performed, held its edge and after it all sharpened back with ease. Been a knife enthusiast for 15 years here and owning Bark Rivers, LT Wrights, White River, BUSSE and many custom fixed blades in various steels I can say I was far and away impressed with the Sidekick. I contracted Saif a short time after and told him my experience with the Sidekick and that one day soon I would need to get a custom built by him and after eye up a few of his models I settled on the Snapper model of his. After some excellent back and forth communicating with Saif I put an order for my Snapper in Magnacut with super thin cutting geometry with beautiful duel earth tone micarta scales which Saif suggested along the way during the build process. Just such a good experience with him providing messages, photos and upadates along the way until completion where I recieved the knife and sheath and again put that baby to work right away for my daily carry. Absolutely freakin love it! Love the experience working with Saif who is a just a gem a human in everyway and made this custom knife experience supporting a fellow Canadian knife maker truly awesome. Looking forward to the next blade from him.
